Over 20 young professionals from around Europe made up the core group of Israel Connects annual 2010 Israel Trip.  The group engaged in all sorts of sessions and activities including volunteering by picking tomatoes for the needy, visiting the Ayalon Institute – Israel’s first hidden bullet factory, a guided tour around Yaffo, a visit to the Knesset where the group watched the Knesset in action voting in budgetary issues, a detailed tour of the security fence and East Jerusalem, a visit to the Herzl museum, a briefing at Google’s research office in Israel, a visit to the Technion in Haifa, a talk and tour of the Kababir Centre (the only centre of Moslem Achmedim in Israel), meeting new Olim, a briefing by the British Ambassador to Israel Tom Phillips, a walking tour of Tel Aviv, a tour of the Better Place plant along with the opportunity to test drive the electric cars, meeting with lone soldiers, and visiting the ‘invitation to silence’ museum.  A lot of work went into the varied itinerary, to ensure that all parts of the trip were relevant for the entire group – and the work paid off!  The trip also included plenty of free time for the group to shop, relax, and party – helping to bond the group and create lasting friendships.
